Welcome to The Whimsical

Wardrobe!

We are a partnership of unique consignors of new and gently-used brand-name and boutique-designer childrens' and maternity clothing, accessories, furniture, decor, gifts and more. Our handcrafted and one-of-a-kind designs will delight moms and tots alike!

We are currently not accepting any clothing consignments. All other items may be dropped off daily from 10-5:00 pm.

The Whimsical Wardrobe is a creative expression of my love for children, fashion, style, and design. My philosophy is that every outfit should have a "conversation piece." A well designed classic piece paired with something unexpected is where clothing becomes fashion and fashion becomes style. Exit 28, Cornelius-make left at the top of ramp, cross over I-77, turn right at the second traffic light (just past McDonalds), follow 1/2 mile to Shops on the Green on right. Follow driveway to bottom and around to the right.

I-77, Southbound

Exit 28, Cornelius-make right at top of ramp, stay in right hand turning lane and turn right at first traffic light. (Torrence Chapel Road) Follow 1/2 mile to Shops on the Green on right. Follow driveway to bottom and around to the right.

Consignment Policies How to Become a Valued Consignor•Clothing should be IN-SEASON, clean, pressed, and in good condition (no stains, tears, missing buttons, or broken zippers). •Furniture, bedding, and baby accessories must be clean, intact, and in good working condition. All items must be meet consumer safety standards (www.cpsc.gov). Used mattresses are not acceptable for resale.•Your items will be displayed in the store for a minimum of sixty (60) days. After thirty (30) days, items are automatically reduced from 15-50% depending on condition, season, and demand for the item. •The Whimsical Wardrobe sets the selling price. When an item sells, you will receive half of the sales price. Consignors of larger items (sale price greater than $100) will receive 60% of the sales price. A buyers fee, ranging from fifty (50) cent to one dollar, will be added to each item. This fee is paid by the buyer, not the consignor, and is used to cover processing charges.•Checks will be issued on the 15th of each month for items sold through the previous month for accounts exceeding $25. Account credits may be applied to store purchases at any time. •Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10am- 6pm and Sunday 12-5. Consignments are accepted Tuesday through Friday and by appointment.•Items we accept: brand name and boutique childrens' clothing and shoes; childrens furniture, bedding, accessories, lighting, and décor; baby equipment (strollers, high chairs, infant exercisers, and developmental toys); brand name maternity clothing.•Items we do NOT accept: discount department store brands (Wal-Mart, Target, Carters, Circo, Faded Glory, etc.); stuffed animals, inflatables, soiled or damaged items; and items that are broken or have missing pieces.*Obviously stained items, torn clothing, items missing parts or broken items will be discarded.

Consignment AgreementWelcome to the Whimsical Wardrobe! We are pleased you have chosen to partner with our shop. Our goal is to provide high quality childrens clothing and accessories at discounted prices. We are committed to providing our partners with a unique and desirable retail environment with the goal of selling your items at the highest possible profit to you. Our policies are designed to provide convenience and success for you, our valued consignor. Here is how it works:All items must be clean, intact, and in good condition. We select items our customers will buy. Sometimes there are items we can not sell. Please understand that our customers preferences guide the selection process.We base prices on supply and demand. We will get the best possible prices for you.All items will be displayed in the store for no less than 60 days. After 30 days, items are automatically reduced from 15-50% depending on condition, season, and demand for the item.You will receive half of the selling price. Consignors of larger items selling for more than $100 will receive 60% of sales proceeds. A buyers fee of fifty cents to one dollar is added to each item. This fee is paid for by the buyer, not the consignor, and covers processing fees.If you would like to retrieve unsold items, please do so by the sixtieth day. All unclaimed items will become the property of The Whimsical Wardrobe.We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for damage or loss.Checks will be available on the 15th of each month for items sold the previous month exceeding $25. Account balances less than $25 are paid in cash or used towards the purchase of merchandise. We look forward to a long and mutually profitable relationship with you! Events

We're Expanding

We are excited to announce our second floor expansion....coming soon. You'll find a beautiful maternity boutique, a book/educational room, a toy room and all of our baby equipment will move to the second floor. This expansion will allow us to add several additional clothing racks and fixtures, expanding our inventory and offering you hundreds of additional clothing choices. We'll also add a boutique/gift room where you'll find brand new boutique and gift items that you've requested. Please pardon our look while we're under construction and busy upfitting our new areas. We promise, it'll be worth the wait!
